About Anna A. Clinton, FNP

Anna Clinton is a board certified nurse practitioner who joined Inova in 2018. In her role, she diagnoses and manages the care of musculoskeletal injuries and ailments involving muscles, bones, tendons and other soft tissue. She is working to establish a bone health program with the orthopedic trauma team for fragility fracture patients. Anna also provides clinical support for orthopedic surgeons, advanced practice providers and clinical research team.

Anna completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at University of Virginia and worked as a perioperative registered nurse in orthopedics at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital. She returned to Vanderbilt University for her Master of Science in Nursing, earning her Family Nurse Practitioner degree. Following graduate school, she spent a year at University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill completing an Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner fellowship.

As someone who enjoys and values activity and sports, Anna quickly became interested in orthopedics and sports medicine, which gives her the ability to work with patients to help restore and preserve optimal mobility. Working with such a diverse group of patients of all ages gives her the opportunity to make a profound and lasting change.

Although a native of Tennessee, Anna currently lives in Washington, DC, with her husband and golden retriever. In her spare time, she enjoys getting outside, skiing, running and cooking with her family.
