Dr. Edward Will is a specialty care physician board eligible in surgery at Inova Health System. He joined Inova in 2018 and has been practicing since 2019.
Prior to his new role, Dr. Will was a resident at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus in Falls Church, VA.
For Dr. Will, it has been immensely rewarding to find purpose and calling in a career where he can create a meaningful impact on people’s health and build lasting relationships through his service as a surgeon. He strives to create an environment where cutting-edge care can meet the practical needs of patients.
Dr. Will’s goal is to help patients acquire an understanding of their medical problem and how it intersects with surgical therapy. Great outcomes are not just a matter of careful pre-operative preparation, experienced staff, technical skill and carefully conducted recovery but must also factor in a host of details that are personal and unique to each patient. It is important to Dr. Will for his patients to understand that he views undergoing surgery as entering a partnership where success depends on the commitment of both parties involved, and he has found this is done best in an environment of mutual respect through shared decision making. He enjoys employing the latest in robotics, intraoperative imaging and enhanced recovery programs, and he is always looking for opportunities to advance patient care through state-of-the-art surgical technology.
Outside the office, Dr. Will enjoys taking trips to national parks and can otherwise be found outdoors, hiking and camping.
