About Nader H. Silver, MD
Dr. Nader Silver is a primary care physician board certified in family medicine at Inova Health System. He joined Inova in 2023 and has been practicing since 2015. Dr. Silver has a special interest in lifestyle medicine and preventive care.
Prior to joining Inova, Dr. Silver worked as a staff physician in the Department of Adult and Family Medicine at Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group.
Dr. Silver became interested in family medicine in order to build meaningful and trusting relationships with his patients and to deliver excellent primary care. His goal is to serve as a reliable and evidence-based source of medical information for his patients and to help them navigate the healthcare system to ensure that they are getting the right care.
Dr. Silver has additional interests in medical education and patient education. In his prior positions, he served as a member of the adult and family medicine peer review committee and was also in charge of sending weekly clinical updates to more than 100 providers at his practice to highlight important updates in primary care. He has served as a clinical preceptor for medical students and residents. In 2018, he was awarded the Resident Teacher Award from the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine in recognition of his demonstrated interest, ability and commitment to family medicine education.
A native of Northern Virginia, Dr. Silver currently resides in Fairfax, VA, with his spouse and dog. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time in Washington, DC; exploring new restaurants; running local trails; and reading.
