Inova Antenatal Testing at Fair Oaks offers specialized care and comprehensive diagnostic testing for women throughout their pregnancy.
Our maternal fetal medicine specialists, perinatal sonographers and nurses have cared for thousands of expectant mothers and regularly work with women whose pregnancies are considered high-risk.
Factors which may cause a woman’s pregnancy to be considered high risk include:
- Pre-existing conditions such as diabetes or hypertension
- Women over the age of 35
- Women with multiple pregnancies

Inova Fair Oaks Hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) offers 24-hour staffing from highly experienced, board-certified neonatologists, specially trained and certified nurses and board-certified lactation consultants, dedicated to neonatal intensive care. Our 19 private rooms have the supplies and equipment to perform all the necessary care without having to move your baby and are furnished with comfortable overnight accommodations for you and your spouse, including a bed, television, bathroom, breast pump and Internet access.
Parking is free at Inova Fair Oaks Medical Campus for all patients and visitors. You are welcome to park in the handicapped and expectant mother parking lot near the main entrance to the hospital.
Standard arrivals (Monday – Friday, 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.):
Enter through the main hospital entrance. Go to Labor & Delivery on the 3rd floor to complete the registration process and be assessed.

- If you arrive on a weekend, holiday or outside the hours above.
- If you are in considerable pain and threatening to deliver imminently.
