With the exception of Inova hospitals, Inova Emergency Care and Inova-GoHealth Urgent Care, all Inova outpatient offices will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday, Thursday, Nov. 27.

Stabilizing and Supporting Critically Ill Patients

No two critically ill patients are alike. At the same time, every critically ill patient needs around-the-clock attention and care as they work to recover from serious injury, severe illness, extensive surgery, or other serious, potentially life-threatening conditions.

The Inova Critical Care Service works together to stabilize and support critically ill patients. The team is led by an Intensive Care Physician along with a multidisciplinary team that includes:

  • Critical care nurses
  • Dietitians
  • Pharmacists
  • Physical therapists
  • Respiratory therapists

 

Specialty Intensive Care Units

 

Our specialty intensive care units enable us to offer advanced technology and specialized clinical staff to support each patient’s needs. Our teams work in:

  • Medical-surgical intensive care unit (MSICU)
  • Neuroscience intensive care unit (NSICU)
  • Cardiac intensive care unit (CICU)
  • Cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU)
  • Medical Critical Care Stepdown Unit (MCCSU)
  • enVision teleICU (eICU)
