Inova Kellar Center provides therapy to children, adolescents, and families. Our licensed masters’ and doctoral-level clinicians with multi-disciplinary backgrounds are trained to work with individuals of all ages using appropriate and evidence-based practices.

We provide individual, family and group therapy in an environment that emphasizes collaboration with other professionals, including mental health and healthcare providers and school professionals when appropriate. With a unique range of services, we enable individuals receiving outpatient therapy to transition to higher levels of care within our system depending on treatment needs. Although our emphasis is to provide services to children and adolescents, we recognize the importance of working with parents who are an integral part of the family system.

Our skilled therapists have extensive clinical training and specialize in working with individuals who are experiencing a variety of emotional, behavioral and interpersonal issues. We utilize a variety of different treatment modalities to address these concerns.

The first two appointments are geared primarily toward building rapport and understanding the presenting concerns. During this time the therapist will provide information about intervention strategies and work collaboratively with the child and family to develop a treatment plan that specifies goals and objectives for the therapy. Progress toward these goals will be tracked on a regular basis.
