Holiday Hours

With the exception of Inova hospitals, Inova Emergency Care and Inova-GoHealth Urgent Care, all Inova outpatient offices will be closed for the Memorial Day holiday – Monday, May 27.

Program Aims

The Inova Internal Medicine Residency Program’s overall purpose is to maintain and improve the health of adults in Northern Virginia and surrounding communities by educating resident physicians skilled in the practice of internal medicine.

Our goal is to provide a structured, high quality educational experience and training with the ultimate goal of graduating outstanding comprehensive internists capable of managing diverse patients with a broad range of diseases and ready to enter practice in either general internal medicine or an internal medicine sub-specialty fellowship. We will assist the residents in developing the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to become an independent practitioner. The core value and structure of our residency program will be based on commitment to life-long learning, integrity and high ethical standards, patient advocacy, teamwork and embracing of diversity among patients, colleagues and other members of the health care team.
