Adult Urgent Behavioral Health Services (IPAC)

The Inova Psychiatric Assessment Center (IPAC) office is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (It is recommended that you arrive prior to 3:30 p.m.) for urgent appointment, referrals, and walk-in appointments (no appointment needed). (The IPAC office is closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day; we are also closed the first Wednesday of every month from 3 to 6 p.m.)

Adult Addiction Treatment Services – CATS Program

Inova CATS Program offers a series of structured programs that provides effective, compassionate treatment for individuals 18 and older dealing with all forms of substance abuse. These include addiction to alcohol, prescription drugs, heroin, cocaine and other drugs.

Child and Adolescent Services

Inova Kellar Center, with two locations in Northern Virginia, has provided behavioral health services for children, adolescents and their families for more than twenty-five years. Our comprehensive mental health and substance abuse treatment programs and an innovative special education school support families throughout Northern Virginia and continue to expand to meet future needs.

Opened in 2018 on the Inova Fairfax Medical Campus, the adolescent psychiatry inpatient unit provides care for adolescents (ages 14–17) who require stabilization and short-term treatment for emotional, behavioral, and psychological needs.
