What will I need to participate in telemedicine visits?

  • To participate in telemedicine visits, you will need a smartphone, a tablet or a computer with a reliable internet connection as well as a quiet location to speak.
  • Inova’s outpatient and integrated practices use MyChart to conduct telemedicine sessions for psychiatry patients. Once the telemedicine appointment is made, each patient will be given instructions about how to use MyChart for telemedicine.
    • Please note: MyChart is not used for any Comprehensive Addiction Treatment Services (CATS) appointments or programs. CATS-related telehealth appointments are managed separately, and one of our team members will assist participants in scheduling CATS telemedicine appointments.
