Nursing research at Inova focuses on improving patient outcomes through meaningful nursing research endeavors and evidence-based, practice-based quality improvement. Each care site has a research and evidence-based practice council that empowers Inova nurses to advance clinical innovation and processes that enhance patient safety and experience as well as the environment in which nursing care is delivered and the care and well-being of nurses. Inova has a rich history of engaging nurses in research and evidence-based practice through its competitive fellow program.
