Reason for coming to Inova Alexandria Hospital: I came to Inova Alexandria because of the variety of opportunities here for pharmacists to make a difference both for individual patients and across the system as a whole. Pharmacists here are empowered to provide the most compassionate, evidence-based, thoughtful care for their patients. There are numerous opportunities to get involved on a systems level from committee work to medication use evaluations. I have been able to customize my experience to fit my interests. I also feel like the team here is incredibly supportive, engaged with the residents, and genuinely invested in our wellbeing both as pharmacists and individuals.

Practice Area Interest: Critical Care and Ambulatory Care

Reason for coming to Inova Alexandria Hospital: I was drawn to Inova Alexandria Hospital originally because I was interested in a community hospital residency. The program offered every rotation that fit my interests and offered a unique medication safety rotation. I wanted to broaden my knowledge and experience in identifying opportunities for improvement with medication errors. Once offered an interview, I fell in love with the diversity and inclusivity that Inova Health System portrayed. After my interview I knew that this program was the best choice for my future career as a pharmacist.
