  • The resident’s "home base" and office is at our Pharmacy Service Center in Chantilly, VA.
  • The resident will be practicing at various clinics throughout the Northern Virginia area, most of which are within 5-10 miles of the Pharmacy Service Center. Residents are eligible for mileage reimbursement when traveling to sites further from their home than the Pharmacy Service Center. 

There are many options for apartments, condos, and townhouses throughout Northern Virginia! Most locations within Fairfax and Arlington counties would be suitable, but we recommend the Fair Oaks or Fairfax city region to be as central as possible. 

Yes, we conduct and highly encourage interviews at PPS. If present at PPS, then we have decided not early commit both positions. We will also be present at the residency showcase to answer questions not available on our website.

No, there is no formal evening, holiday, or weekend staffing requirement. The only “staffing” requirement is to help support the anticoagulation clinic during regular business hours during the month of December and during the final week of the residency year.  

Yes, any Inova PGY1 resident can apply to early commit to this program. Instructions and restrictions are outlined in the Early Commit Policy
 

We are expanding to two residency positions available for the class of 2026-27.  
 

This rotation is precepted by Caitlin Prather (our residency program director) and covers two clinic services: the Inova Juniper Program and the Inova Pride Clinic. The Inova Juniper Program is a Ryan-White HIV/AIDs Program covering multiple sites across Northern Virginia. The Inova Pride Clinic is a primary care clinic tailored to the unique needs of LGBTQ+ people.
