Inova Fairfax Hospital participates in research efforts with the National Institutes of Health to impact and advance national pulmonary rehabilitation practices.

Additional specialty programs offered only at Inova Fairfax Hospital include:

• Bronchiectasis Program: For airway clearance training.
• American Lung Association Smoking Cessation Program
• Cystic Fibrosis Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program: Following Cystic Fibrosis Foundation infection prevention guidelines.
• Endobronchial Valve and Pre and Post Pulmonary
• Pre-Surgical Program: Scheduled as needed, for pre-operative pulmonary hygiene techniques to include: incentive spirometry, positive expiratory pressure therapy, cough training and splinting.
